SPURS AND LATIGO RANCH EQUINE RESCUE: HORSE LIVES MATTER

Mission

Spurs and Latigo Ranch offers rescue, rehabilitation and permanent placement to abused, neglected or at-risk equines. Lifelong sanctuary is provided to those equines unable to find permanent homes. Education, advocacy and equine support is offered throughout the community.

We are committed to caring for equines that come to us due to abuse, neglect or abandonment as well as those at risk of imminent slaughter. We provide horses with a safe and nurturing environment while they heal physically, mentally and emotionally from many situations. We give them all the care that they need and deserve, assessed on an individual basis. Not all equines are created equally and will receive the proper medical treatment and nutritional need based upon individual needs.

Equines are like humans, they require food and safety first, but ultimately, they need more. They need time to heal. They must learn to trust again, to connect and to bond with and enjoy the company of people. We at Spurs and Latigo Ranch will be there for these equines every step of the way to help rehabilitate them and place them in forever homes if they are able to be adopted.
